We have had an amazing response to the courses we have held, and would like to share some of the comments with you.
We hosted a VIP group of guests from Manila at Ginger and Lime, Denise, Katy, Paula and Dave arranged a special dinner and participation cooking event for them.
It was a delight to work with such a professional and passionate group of people. Nothing was a problem for them and all arrangements were successfully and diligently Carried out.
The food was authentic, SA/Malay cuisine and was ‘off the charts’ good, the freshest produce and best quality meats. The facilities were amazing and the kitchen was properly geared for my guests.
Denise, Katy and Paula were very professional in the way they went about teaching the guests, not only about the dishes they were preparing, but about the origins and history behind certain dishes and ingredients.
I look forward to doing more events with them!! Thanks Ginger and Lime team, it was a great evening.

From the moment we walked through the doors of Ginger & Lime, we felt transported to a world where time stops, and strangers become friends around the ritual of preparing wholesome food. Although this was a corporate event, we did not feel ‘processed’ at all. The team-building lunch started off with leisurely drinks in the beautiful garden, right next to a pretty impressive – and neatly tended – herb and vegetable garden.
After soaking up some winter sun, we moved on to the warmth of the state-of-the art kitchen –wow! Denise and Kim creatively added a competitive element to our cooking, made really easy with pre-chopped veggies and genius guidance from the experienced chefs at Ginger & Lime. The team showed us what we could really do in the kitchen – and we’re still amazed ourselves.
A perfectly executed program, tasteful surrounds and an easy and tasty menu culminated in a pretty festive table and a perfect day out for all. Thank you for all your trouble and the beautiful spirit in which you guided us.

Allan and I were so privileged to host our family at your beautiful home to celebrate my 60th Birthday! It truly was an amazing evening of cooking, eating, drinking, friendship and fun.
The way in which everyone eagerly participated was only due to your energy and vibrancy. It was delightful to see little Lucy (our granddaughter 6 years old) exuberantly helping in the kitchen and my 85 year old Dad so enjoying every minute. Really special from young to old!
Your food is absolutely sublime and each course was more delicious than the one before!! Thank you for giving me such a magical and perfect birthday dinner!

Thank you so much for an absolutely amazing evening. It was one of the best
and most interesting ones I have had in a while. You have changed my
narrow minded judgemental idea of a boring cooking class full of
uninteresting people. Heaven knows where that idea comes from, must have
had a terrible experience in my previous life.
From the moment I walked through your front door you and the team started
the "magic experience" and completed the circle by the time you threw me
It felt so personal being in someone's home, the cooking, chopping,
luckily no peeling, swapping/swopping (never know which one is right)
ideas and all working together in absolutely organized chaos.

We just hosted our company conference at Ginger & Lime & WOW what a treat for all of us. The venue is not your usual boardroom or conference centre, the minute you walk in, you could be anywhere in the world – think Provence or a villa in Tuscany where you unwind, relax and indulge – “totally decadent" good for the soul.
Denise and her team are there to attend to you every need, you feel at home and welcomed, it is private and perfect for a conference, a fun evening with friends, a birthday bash or a place to get creative with interactive cooking!
They are professional, everything is tailored to what you wish to create, from the food, to the ideas you have around team building to the décor – they are exceptional at what they do!
We arrived at 9 30am and welcomed with the smell of coffee and freshly baked muffins that were gluten free and filled with all the goodies, there was a spectacular spread of fresh fruit and homemade yogurt and granola with berries, we had lunch outside in her beautiful grand garden surrounded by old palm trees and lush greenery. Lunch was light, healthy and bursting with flavour using carefully sourced local fresh produce. Once we had finalised all our work formalities, we started our team building! We were welcomed into her dream kitchen and divided into groups with a cooking station for each team with a recipe to follow and the finest ingredients to create our dinner – we all got out of our heads and explored our creative side, each person even the not so “domesticated” had the best fun, learnt great tips from Denise and her master chefs – so personalised and a whole lot of fun!
We opened some champagne, cooked, shared a dinner together, laughed, talked, watched the beautiful Cape Town sunset in a magical setting. Bliss!

Thank you to you and your team. We felt welcome , at home, well fed and every need was catered for. The cooking experience was enjoyed by all and the fruits of our labour went down deliciously.

I have had such a busy few weeks at work, but despite that, all I have been able to talk about the last few days in Ginger and Lime! So thank you for being the creative light and mental break I needed to charge my battery. I so enjoyed your awesome team, and the passion for food, friendship and comradery permeates the whole experience. I felt truly at home
Just wanted to thank you for that wonderful evening of food and fun when we were part pf the Italian cooking demonstration. I had never done anything like that before and it was memorable – for all the new things to learn and experience, the skill and creativity of you and your staff, and especially for the warm and happy atmosphere you all generated in your beautiful kitchen. Every moment was special and so much enjoyed.

On behalf of the Exco of the CT Chapter our heartfelt thanks for firstly, allowing us to use your special venue and for the delicious food – everyone was raving about the catering. Despite the storm raging outside, the room was comfortably warmed, all making for a productive meeting.
Your team were amazing and nothing was too much for them – please pass on our appreciation to them too. I would recommend Ginger & Lime as a venue of choice in a heartbeat. Thanks again Denise and we look forward to working with you again soon.
I just want to thank you again for such a wonderful afternoon of fun for my
little girls. In one if your emails you had said that the girls will have
lots of fun. And so they did. To the point where they told their parents
"the best party ever"...
For me it was the most stress free party I've ever "organised" for Kiera.
It's always hard to come up with interesting ideas for kids party's, but
harder to pull them off. You and your team made it so easy to achieve. So
many of the moms have been in awe of the day their children experienced.
It's hard to conceptualise how much they take in at the time, but somehow
they do and pass it on to their parents. One child used the cupcake recipe
the next day as part of a tea-party we had planned in Camps Bay.
We were made to feel so welcome and the attention we received will be long
remembered. Thank you very much.

It was such a luxury being in the audience rather than behind the stove and
we felt utterly spoilt with the abundance of excellent-quality ingredients
you generously laid on for all of us.
The coconut broth with fish balls really stood out for me - those kinds of
brothy, noodle-y soups are so to my taste and the fish balls had so much

What a stunning evening we had in your beautiful home and amazing kitchen yesterday – thank you so much for inviting us and allowing us to share in your new and very exciting challenge. We both loved the way that you set up and conducted the evening because it was informal, sociable and really interactive and you were able to impart your passion and knowledge without it ever feeling like we were in a “classroom” environment. Being able to step in and out of the actual cooking process was lovely and your calm and warm approach to everything made for a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable time.
It was a memorable occasion and we look forward to booking an evening at ginger & lime in the near future.

Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for such a fun evening at your beautiful home and kitchen on Wednesday. The food was so delicious – loved all the healthy, fresh ingredients and aromas. I have decided to attempt the soup, fish and Asian salad for lunch on Sunday. Definitely left your kitchen happy, satisfied and inspired!

The whole experience was simply fantastic - the food was delicious and it was so nice to be part of the preparation and learn about different ingredients; you and your team were so warmly welcoming that it was totally relaxing and great FUN! and we got to spend time as a group of friends just chilling and catching up.I honestly cannot think of an occasion I have enjoyed so much. Just a note to say "THANK YOU" for an amazing evening last night! As you probably noticed, I am more appreciative of the taste than the how. What struck me was your true passion for what you were doing. Don’t change your style of how you do what you do. You have no pretences which one experiences with most foodies. Your ‘energy’ for and what you do is pure and you should never compromise on that as it is evident in what you produce.
